Crash when Importing
« on: September 11, 2017, 03:43:15 PM »
Good morning...i have searched and found the crash on start up and followed that protocol but MM still crashes when I attempt to import. If I drag a file in, it tends to work ok. I also allowed the app to work with the firewall. I changed the analytics settings found on the autodesk website within the INI file to "false" as mentioned on autodesk's FAQ. I saved the INI file and tried opening MM; still crashed and saw that one of the lines "UserPreferenceForDataCollectionSetV3" reset to true and I received a pop up discussing "Analytics." I feel like this may be the issue, so I guess my question is...how can I permanently disable the analytics so MM doesn't try to send data out? Thanks in advance.

Are you on MM 3.2? On WIN or MAC ?

Did you try to disable Analytics and CheckForUpdates in menu: AboutMeshmixer ?
I'm just a user as you are. Being no Autodesk employee: I do not know where this road will lead to, nor do I claim to've all stuff got right.

Hello,

As a last resort, you might also try deleting the entire meshmixer.ini file. Note: this will reset all your user settings as well.
