How can I measure the circumference of an object
« on: May 13, 2016, 11:33:49 AM »
I saw the cylinder measuring tool but I am not getting what I want. The demo here is, how can I measure the circumference of my 3D head?

Can anyone give me some pointers? or any links.
So far I have this link but I don't see what the total length is...

I've been looking for the same option. Meshmixer is perfect to measure volume, but an option for measuring head circumference is unknown to me. 3-matic by Materialise has an option to manually place points on a 3D surface, it then measures the distance over the 3D surface and sums all places points. That option was sufficient for me, but not ideal... I'm sure meshmixer could do way better! The program keeps amazing me every time.

One of the ways I'd see circumference measurements being implanted is by allowing to see the length/circumference of the edge of your 3D object. You'd then only need to create a Plane Cut.
