What is the file extension for meshmixer files?
« on: September 13, 2015, 03:10:19 PM »
I have meshmixer installed on Linux Mint 17.2 (a debian-ubuntu variant).

When I save a file using meshmixer, the file is given no file extension. When i try to re-open a saved file, meshmixer looks in the directory for meshmixer format files, but does not find anything.

I'm thinking there would be a specific extension that meshmixer is looking for, but somehow it is not appended to the file name in linux.  Perhaps a bug or a configuration issue?

Not being a Linux guy I can't give some advice to fix that.
But @ your question:

Save and Open are looking for files with .mix extension.
Export and Import allow different formats as .obj or .stl but also .mix.
I'm just a user as you are. Being no Autodesk employee: I do not know where this road will lead to, nor do I claim to've all stuff got right.
