Meshmixer 3.4 is now available! Download it here:

Happy 2018!

In this release we:
- added ViewCube! See for more information.
- added support for the 3MF file format. 3MF is an XML-based data format – human-readable compressed XML — that includes definitions for data related to 3D manufacturing, including third-party extensibility for custom data. Learn more about 3MF here:

Bug fixes:
- added more fixes for crashes and bugs due to the outdated graphics card drivers
- added a fix for Macs with retina displays

Please give it a try, don’t forget to backup, and, as usual, report your bugs using this form:
Remember to select correct Version (3.4) against which you’re reporting a bug.

We highly recommend upgrading to this new release. Hope you really enjoy it! It was our pleasure to work on Meshmixer this past year, and while Tyson and I are both moving on to the new projects, a great team is picking Meshmixer up. Please continue using to reach out to them (bugs should be still submitted via the form above). Thank you for being such a great supportive community, please continue helping each other!

General Discussion / Re: Meshmixer Training
« on: December 13, 2017, 12:04:54 PM »
Hi Andre,

This is a comprehensive course. It might not cover the latest changes in Meshmixer but it's a good start.
I think you can preview some of the video chapters before buying it.
You can reach out to Nick Kloski (nkloski user in this forum), he is teaching it. Nick also holds monthly webinars where he answers questions about Meshmixer and other things.
/End of plug :)

Enjoy the training!

Does it happen with just one model?

System Requirements:

Microsoft Windows 7 or later or OS X / macOS 10.7 or later
4GB system RAM
Integrated or discrete graphics card with latest drivers

Wish List / Re: Faster Support Generation
« on: November 24, 2017, 05:11:58 PM »
Thank you for your suggestion. You are asking for a complex feature that is not likely to appear in a free product in the nearest future.
For now you might have to experiment with other Autodesk products, like Netfabb or Fusion.

Wish List / Re: Export X3d with texture support?

Thank you for your suggestion! I'll add it to the list but I cannot give you any guarantees.

Thank you for your interest in Spanish version of Meshmixer! While it's not in the immediate roadmap it's on our list of things to accomplish.

Announcements / Meshmixer 3.3
« on: October 31, 2017, 05:52:44 PM »
Meshmixer 3.3 is now available! Download it here:

In this release we:
- Redesigned the entire Print workflow. See for details. We have eliminated 3rd party printing services that were not working properly and causing crashes. You can now easily add custom printers and use your printer software to do the actual print, or you can export your model as STL and send it to the 3rd party printing services.
- Implemented Customer Error Report (CER) functionality. A report can now be sent to Autodesk when Meshmixer crashes, which will allow us to debug your issues in a more meaningful way. Please add your comments about how the crash happened.
- Added a hotkey for toggling printer bed rendering

Bug fixes:
- applying Offset to a mesh with boundary
- silent install for Windows
- using '<' and '>' keys for Mac to contract/expand selection
- mesh normal rendering mode has correct default now

Please give it a try, don’t forget to backup, and, as usual, report your bugs using this form:
Remember to select correct Version (3.3) against which you’re reporting a bug.

Have fun! And Happy Halloween! Muahaha :)

Meshmixer Team, Autodesk Research

Thank you, Gunter!

Hi Rodrigo, thank you for using Meshmixer for such a noble purpose! We will add your feature requests to our list. They might not be addressed right away but we're keeping track of them.
If you have time, do you mind writing us how exactly do you use Meshmixer?
